The laws of Tellius

][Laws][

The main laws that govern Tellius are set out by the Lord our god in the bible. The ten commandments,
You shall have no other gods beside me.
You shall not make idols or worship them.
You shall not misuse the name of the lord.
Remember the sabbath day and keep it holy.
Honour your father and your mother.
You shall not murder.
You shall not commit adultery.
You shall not steal.
You shall not give false testimony against your neighbour.
You shall not covet your neighbours possessions.
Exodus 20:3-17

Breaking these laws will result in severe punishment, deemed by the severity of the breach, and by the council in power at the time.

After the age of 16 all citizens of Tellius will be held responsible if they break these laws. Normally, these people will be forgiven if they commit a crime and will not suffer execution, until the third time they break the law. After the third time they are forgiven, they will be executed if they break the law again.
The sole exception to this law is that if somebody commits murder. This will result in immediate execution.

People who break the first commandment, and worship another god, will be banished from Tellius forever.

In accordance with the Main Laws of Tellius there are only a few other laws that govern the people. Each state in Tellius has its own tax laws and local rules. The council of Monarchs will pass new laws if deemed necessary.
In court, a person who has broken the law must be given the consideration that laws are not to be followed to letter, but for the reason they were passed in the first place. This however does not effect the ten commandments, as they are final and 'set in stone'.

All drugs and  narcotics, are completely illegal, except for medical purposes. (includes alcohol and tobbacco.)

There is complete and utter equality between males and females in Tellius. Any, male or female, who do not observe this law will be severly punished.

This document was set out by his majesty King Matthew of Southern Tellius, and agreed upon by the three monarchs, and the council of Tellius.
